1. DRDO and IAF conduct flight trials of Rudram-II



The Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Air Force (IAF) have successfully conducted flight tests of the RudraM-II air-to-surface missile from an airborne platform. The tests were carried out under extreme release conditions and along a critical trajectory, validating the performance of all subsystems. After release, the missile was guided to a predefined target with pinpoint accuracy. All test objectives were achieved, as confirmed by flight data captured through various range instruments deployed by the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur.

2. Rolls-Royce offers to develop an engine in India



In an interview with the Times of India, Rolls-Royce Executive Vice President (Transformation) Sashi Mukundan said:

"With the full support of the UK government, we have offered to set up an aero gas turbine complex in India where engines for military jets will be developed and, in the future, potentially engines with dual-use applications, including civil aviation. We have offered a complete technology transfer into that complex to develop the IP, where India will have sovereignty. Our AMCA engine will be developed here, be ready for ground trials by 2032, and achieve its first flight by 2034."

3. Elbit Systems America and Anduril team up for US Army howitzer competition



Elbit Systems of America (ESLT) announced on June 2 that it has partnered with Anduril Industries for the US Army’s self-propelled howitzer modernisation competition. Under the strategic teaming agreement, Elbit America will leverage Anduril’s expertise to integrate the Sigma wheeled howitzer’s communications capabilities with Army command platforms. Future variants are also expected to incorporate Anduril’s Lattice software, enabling greater autonomy while enhancing mobility and lethality.

4. Boeing conducts RCS testing of the MQ-28 Ghost Bat drone



On June 2, Boeing validated the MQ-28 Ghost Bat’s stealth performance through radar cross-section (RCS) testing, demonstrating the collaborative combat aircraft’s ability to reduce detectability and operate effectively in contested environments. Designed to fly alongside crewed aircraft in missions such as surveillance and electronic warfare, the MQ-28’s low-observable characteristics enhance survivability and expand operational flexibility. The testing provided customers with objective and repeatable data on the aircraft’s ability to avoid detection and complete its missions.

5. Saab rolls out Gripen F for the Brazilian Air Force



On June 2, Saab unveiled the first Gripen F fighter aircraft for the Brazilian Air Force during a ceremony at the company's facilities in Linköping, Sweden. The Gripen F is the two-seat variant of the Gripen E series and has been developed to meet the training and operational requirements of modern air forces. It combines advanced conversion training and full combat capability on a single platform.
