4. India rejects Court of Arbitration ruling on Indus Waters Treaty

India has rejected a ruling by the World Bank constituted Court of Arbitration concerning the Indus Waters Treaty, terming the tribunal's authority and its decisions legally invalid. India’s Ministry of External Affairs said India has never recognised the arbitration panel, did not participate in its proceedings and will not be bound by its rulings, while reiterating that the Indus Waters Treaty remains in abeyance.

5. Indian Navy commissions ‘INS Nipun’ to strengthen underwater capabilities

The Indian Navy commissioned ‘INS Nipun’ on Monday, the second Diving Support Vessel of the Nistar-class, at Naval Dockyard, Mumbai, on August 31, strengthening its deep-sea diving, underwater intervention and submarine rescue capabilities. The purpose-built vessel represents a significant addition to the Navy's specialist underwater capability and also reflects India's growing capacity to design and build technologically complex naval platforms domestically.

8. Israel signs $3.5 billion Air Defence Deal with Greece

Israel and Greece have signed a €3 billion, or approximately $3.5 billion, defence agreement under which Israel will develop a multi layered air defence system for Greece. The deal is Israel's largest defence export agreement with Greece and comes as Athens accelerates its military modernisation amid a broader push to strengthen its air and missile defence capabilities.

9. Tata Advanced Systems to co-produce Javelin missiles in India

Tata Advanced Systems Limited and the Javelin Joint Venture, comprising Raytheon, an RTX business, and Lockheed Martin, have signed a memorandum of understanding to co-produce Javelin All Up Round missiles in India. The agreement marks another step in India US defence industrial cooperation and supports New Delhi's push to expand indigenous defence manufacturing and build advanced weapons production capabilities within the country.
