Who are we

Sandeep Unnithan
A well known face of Indian Television. Sandeep Unnithan has been Editor, News9 Plus, India’s first OTT news app. He is a graduate in Ancient Indian History from St Xaviers College, Mumbai. He has been a journalist for over three decades in several media organisations— The Indian Express, India Today and the TV9 Group. He has written on national security affairs for close to two decades. Sandeep has authored two books— 'Black Tornado: the three sieges of Mumbai 26/11', describes the untold military aspects of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. This book was adapted into an OTT web-series 'State of Siege' on ZEE5 in 2020. His second book ‘Operation X’ co-authored with Captain MNR Samant, released in July 2019, is the only authentic account of a covert unit run by naval intelligence during the 1971 Indo-Pak War. This unit carried out one of the world’s largest maritime guerrilla wars sinking and disabling nearly 100,000 tonnes of enemy shipping.

Col Anurag Awasthi (R)
Anurag Awasthi is a graduate of National Defence Academy, Defence Services Staff College, prestigious Higher Command Course & Indian School of Business. He has three decades of experience in the Indian Army and in the corporate sector. These include command appointments and three apex level positions in Integrated HQ of Ministry of Defence in all aspects related to policy, make in India and prospective planning to include strategic response and forecasting within huge Capital budgets. He has notable multinational work experience of heading large teams to include varied foreign exposures including heading a vertical in the United Nations. He has been Vice President of India Electronics and Semiconductors Association steering Semiconductor & ESDM Policy and engaging with startups in two incubators. This senior leadership role envisaged providing policy inputs to the relevant government ministries, detailed interactions with academia and regulatory bodies, multi stakeholder interactions for policy making, writing policies and providing inputs for various states in India, curating national and international research reports as well as steering international collaborations with a number of entities in semiconductor and critical electronics domain. An accomplished public speaker in national and international events, policy forums and institutes of eminence, he is a well-known columnist with regularly published opinion and policy pieces on semiconductors, geopolitics and critical technologies in both national and international media.

Santosh Raj, a dynamic and creative professional who has been masterfully blending creativity with technical and operational expertise for over 3 decades. With a rich background as an ex-Disney Hotstar, Aajtak and Star News creative resource, Santosh has driven impactful digital media operations and production management at TV9. One of the youngest British Chevening scholars, Broadcast Journalist, Documentary and Film maker, script writer, content and production designer he has won more than 9 National Television awards for his outstanding works. His impressive experience includes Executive Producer and Director roles in reputed projects with Studio9 in collaboration with TV9. Combination of entertainment and news makes Santosh a unique creative business professional.
