1. HAL clarifies LCA Tejas MK-1A deliveries

HAL has clarified the status of LCA Mk1A deliveries for all stakeholders. The company confirmed that five aircraft are fully ready for delivery, incorporating major contracted capabilities in line with agreed specifications.
An additional nine aircraft have already been built and flown. Upon receipt of engines from GE, these aircraft will be made ready for delivery. All identified design and development issues are being addressed in an expedited manner. HAL is in active discussions with the Indian Air Force to deliver the aircraft at the earliest. As of date, HAL has received five engines from GE. The supply position from GE remains positive, and the future delivery outlook aligns with HAL’s delivery plans.
The company also assured that it will meet the guidance projected for the current financial year.
2. HAL says it has not received information on AMCA

HAL said various media reports regarding the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme have come to its attention. However, the company has not received any official communication in this regard and is therefore not in a position to comment at this stage, HAL said in a post on X.
HAL reiterated its commitment to keeping all stakeholders fully informed of developments, adding that it has a robust confirmed order book, strong revenue visibility, and a healthy production and execution pipeline extending up to 2032.
3. INS Gharial makes a port call at Colombo

Indian Naval Ship Gharial made a port call at Colombo, Sri Lanka, on 4 February to deliver 10 Bailey Bridges to support Sri Lanka’s #CycloneDitwah reconstruction efforts. These modular bridges will help swiftly restore critical roads, enabling civilian mobility and relief operations.
This Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) mission is part of India’s USD 450 million Special Economic Package announced by External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar, building on Operation Sagar Bandhu, the Indian Navy said in a post on X.
4. Ashok Leyland, PT Pindad sign MoU for electric buses and defence vehicles

Ashok Leyland has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Pindad, Indonesia’s state-owned defence and industrial equipment manufacturer. The agreement, signed at Pindad’s headquarters in Bandung, marks a significant step in strengthening bilateral cooperation in sustainable mobility and advanced defence technologies.
The MoU outlines strategic collaboration for the joint development and manufacturing of electric buses and defence vehicles tailored to Indonesia’s growing mobility and national security requirements.
5. CSG, Aselsan sign agreement for Korkut air defence system

CSG (Czechoslovak Group), through Excalibur International, and Türkiye’s defence electronics company Aselsan have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to establish an EU-based joint venture. The partnership aims to enhance industrial and technological cooperation in areas including air defence, electronic warfare, smart munitions, and border security.
One of the first outcomes of the cooperation is the introduction of the Korkut air defence system integrated on the Tatra Force 6×6 wheeled platform, aimed at European and global markets. The system addresses the growing demand for highly mobile and effective protection against unmanned aerial systems.
6. Eurofighter and NETMA sign contract for AMK for Eurofighter Typhoon

Eurofighter and NETMA (NATO Eurofighter and Tornado Management Agency) have signed a contract enabling the development, testing, and certification of the Aerodynamic Modification Kit (AMK) for the Eurofighter Typhoon.
AMK will enable faster integration and certification of new weapons and external loads, including future anti-radiation missiles designed to suppress and destroy enemy air defence radars. Additional capabilities, such as advanced air-to-ground weapons and air-to-air missiles, will be integrated for core customers of the AMK variant. Future integrations will also include the latest versions of standoff missiles.
The AMK programme will further enhance the Typhoon’s air combat performance, particularly through improved target acquisition and better close-quarters combat capabilities.
