1. IIT Madras launches Circulating Water Tunnel Facility

IIT Madras has launched its advanced Circulating Water Tunnel Facility at the Discovery Campus in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Built with ₹4.5 crore CSR support from Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL), the facility will strengthen indigenous research in ship design, hydrodynamics and ocean engineering. The state-of-the-art facility will support experimental studies involving ship models, propellers, offshore systems, underwater structures and marine vehicles, while also offering hands-on learning opportunities for students and researchers.
2. Johnnette Technologies signs MoU with MIL

Johnnette Technologies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Munitions India Limited (MIL) on May 26. The MoU aims to establish collaboration for future warhead integrations for the Johnnette JM series of loitering munitions, aerial platforms, as well as upcoming UCAV programmes.
3. General Anil Chauhan launches Tri-Services Tele-Directory Web Application

General Anil Chauhan, Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), launched the Tri-Services Tele-Directory Web Application. Developed in-house by the Directorate General of Signals, the application has been envisioned as part of the initiative to promote enhanced integration among the Services. It represents a significant milestone in strengthening coordination, improving operational efficiency and fostering integrated functioning across the Armed Forces.
4. IAF marks 27th anniversary of Operation Safed Sagar

The Indian Air Force marked the 27th anniversary of Operation Safed Sagar, the historic air campaign launched on May 26, 1999 during the Kargil conflict. Conducted in support of Operation Vijay, the mission aimed to evict Pakistani regulars and intruders from Indian positions along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Kargil sector. Executed in one of the world’s most challenging high-altitude battlefields, the operation showcased the courage, precision and professionalism of the Indian Air Force, reaffirming the decisive role of air power in safeguarding the nation.
5. Suryakiran Aerobatic Team commemorates 30th anniversary

The Suryakiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) of the Indian Air Force commemorated its 30th anniversary on May 26, 2026 at Air Force Station Bidar, Karnataka. From its debut in 1996 to delivering over 800 breathtaking displays across India and abroad, SKAT continues to inspire with its professionalism, precision flying and teamwork. Living by its motto, “Sadaiva Sarvottam” meaning “Always the Best,” the team symbolises the spirit and excellence of the Indian Air Force.
