1. NIBE demonstrates the Garudastra Vehicle-Mounted Mortar System

Private Sector defence company Nibe demonstrated the capabilities of Garudastra, an advanced Long Range 120mm Vehicle Mounted Mortar System, which is the Israeli Elbit Systems Spear Mk-2.  It showcased rapid shoot-and-scoot operations, high-rate of fire, Multiple Rounds Simultaneous Impact (MRSI) and precision engagement of the Guided Munition using GPS and Laser guidance. The demonstration was conducted at the Infantry School, Mhow.  The Spear Mk-2 is used by the Thai Army, mounted on a 4x4 Tata truck.

2. India-Thailand conduct 10th Defence Dialogue

The 10th Thailand-India Defence Dialogue took place in Bangkok on June 16, reviewed the full spectrum of bilateral defence cooperation and exchanged views on regional and global security. The dialogue was co-chaired by Thailand’s Deputy Permanent Secretary for Defence, Admiral Nuttapol Diewvanich, and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, Satyajit Mohanty.

3. India records a fifty-six-fold increase in defence exports

India’s indigenous Defence production rose from ₹46,429 crore in 2014–15 to ₹1.78 lakh crore in 2025–26.  Defence exports surged from ₹686 crore in 2013–14 to a record ₹38,424 crore in 2025–26, with exports reaching over 80 countries. India's defence budget increased from ₹2.53 lakh crore in 2013–14 to ₹7.85 lakh crore in 2026–27, which is a fifty-six-fold increase.

4. Malaysia orders 18 Caesar Mk-I howitzers

On Tuesday, June 16, on the sidelines of the Eurosatory trade show, KNDS France and its Malaysian partner, Advanced Defence Systems (ADS) signed a commercial contract for an order of 18 Caesar Mk-I guns. This contract also includes a license allowing the transfer of technologies and the assembly of Caesar in Malaysia, as well as the provision of a support package, training, tooling, spare parts, and technical assistance.

5. General Atomics awarded contract for FQ-42A Collaborative Combat Aircraft

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) has received a production contract from the U.S. Air Force (USAF) for the FQ-42A Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA).  GA-ASI was selected by the U.S. Air Force in 2024 to build production-representative flight test articles for the CCA program. The YFQ-42A successfully conducted its maiden flight in August 2025, validating a “genus/species” concept for rapid, modular, and low-cost uncrewed fighter aircraft development previously demonstrated in partnership with the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL).

6. Anduril FQ-44A awarded production contract from USAF

The US Air Force selected Anduril for the production phase of the Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) program. Under the contract, Anduril will deliver an initial set of production FQ-44 semi-autonomous fighter aircraft to support continued testing, validation, and, ultimately, operational fielding. The contract also establishes a structure for the Air Force to buy additional lots of production FQ-44 aircraft across the next several years, providing a clear path for the Air Force to rapidly and affordably expand fighter capacity.
