1. DRDO conducts a successful flight test of LRLACM

DRDO successfully conducted the flight-test of the indigenously developed Long Range Land Attack Cruise Missile (LRLACM) from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Island, Odisha. The missile achieved all mission objectives, validating critical technologies and demonstrating India’s growing long-range precision strike capability. A Road Mobile Launcher developed by Larsen and Toubro on an Ashok Leyland Super Stallion 8 x 8 truck was used for the launch.
2. KSSL unveils MArG family of howitzers

Kalyani Strategic Systems Ltd (KSSL), has unveiled the “full range of its 155 mm MGS guns in three variants at Eurosatory 2026 in Paris. The three variants are — MArG 39, MArG 45 and MArG 52 — built on a common 4×4 wheeled platform. The systems are designed around 39-calibre, 45-calibre and 52-calibre gun configurations respectively, allowing armed forces to choose range and firepower capabilities while retaining commonality in logistics, maintenance and training.
3. Controversy in Suryastra procurement rocket deal.

The Suryastra Universal Rocket Launcher procurement is facing controversy. A report by Bharat Shakti say Touted as India’s first 300 km Universal Rocket Launching System, the Suryastra multi-rocket system is nothing but a platform designed and manufactured by Elbit Systems of Israel.
The Indian Army had signed an emergency procurement contract worth Rs 292.69 crore for long-range precision rockets at 150 and 300 kilometres.
The flight test of the system was conducted at the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur, on 18-19 May by the DRDO, and the first lot of the rocket launchers was flagged off on 23 May. In one of the four test flights carried out on 18-19 May, the missile (called Predator Hawk in Israel) broke into pieces in less than 15 km at a height of 7 km minutes after the launch, when its claimed range is in the vicinity of 300 km. Moreover, DRDO officials say they are not privy to the telemetry data from these tests, as they did not carry out the process.
4. Three military aviation crashes in 24 hours- B-52, F/A-18, Tu-22M3

Three military aircraft crashed in different parts of the world, killing 13 people.
On June 15, a Tu-22M3 crashed in South-eastern Siberia, but all the crew members ejected
On June 16, a US Air Force Boeing B-52 Stratofortress carrying eight people crashed just after take-off at Edwards Air Force Base, California. All eight people on board were killed, including two Boeing engineers. A US Marine F/A-18 crashed, with the pilot ejecting from the aircraft. On Saturday, an IAF An-32 crashed after landing at Jorhat, killing five Indian Air Force personnel.
5. France selects MBDA-Safran Thundart MLRS under FLPT program

The FLPT (Future Launch Platform) Thundart, a rocket with a range of 150 km, partly based on Safran's AASM guided bomb, has been selected by France. Price, among other factors, is said to have been a determining factor in the final decision. The Thundart rocket was successfully demonstrated in mid-April. However, it is only one part of a larger consortium that also includes Scania for the 8x8 carrier on which the launcher will be mounted. Before this, there were reports that France was discussing Pinaka MLRS with India and the Lockheed Martin HIMARS with the US.
