1. SMPP delivers Peacekeeper (Agniveg) drones to the Indian Army


SMPP has successfully delivered 100 jet-powered Peacekeeper (Agniveg) operational drones and six training drones to the Indian Army, marking a significant milestone in India's unmanned warfare capabilities and reinforcing the nation's commitment to self-reliance in critical defence technologies.

The delivery follows successful user trials in which the Peacekeeper (Agniveg) demonstrated a circular error probable (CEP) of less than five metres and an operational range of approximately 180 kilometres, while operating in heavily jammed and spoofed environments. The performance highlights the system's precision, reliability, and ability to operate in contested battlefield conditions.

2. Pakistan receives its first Hangor-class submarine

Pakistan's first Hangor-class submarine, built under an agreement with China, has arrived at Karachi Port, marking a significant milestone in the Pakistan Navy's modernisation programme, according to an official statement.

Following its arrival at the Pakistan Navy Dockyard on June 12, a reception ceremony was held with Commander Pakistan Fleet Vice Admiral Abdul Munib attending as the chief guest.

3. France assures technology sharing for Rafale fighter jets

Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit, France has indicated that it is comfortable sharing technology related to the Rafale fighter jet and integrating Indian weapons onto the platform as part of the agreement, according to a report by The Tribune.

Senior French diplomatic sources stated on Thursday, “Yes, we are comfortable sharing technology, and ‘Make in India’ will be part of the deal.” On the integration of Indian weapons, the sources added, “Integration of local weapons is also a part of the deal.”

4. Operational test pilot flies the B-21 Raider bomber

In another milestone for the B-21 Raider programme, an operational test pilot recently flew the bomber alongside a developmental test pilot. The integration of operational testing marks a major shift in how the US Air Force evaluates its most critical next-generation aircraft, helping break down historical barriers in the flight-test pipeline. The pilot was assigned to the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Centre's Detachment 5 at Edwards Air Force Base.

5. RAAF receives third MC-55A Peregrine aircraft

The Royal Australian Air Force's third MC-55A Peregrine has officially arrived at RAAF Base Edinburgh.

Since the Australian Government announced the acquisition of four MC-55A aircraft, three platforms have now been delivered. The MC-55A Peregrine is a first-of-type airborne intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and electronic warfare (ISREW) aircraft for the Australian Defence Force.

Based on the Gulfstream G550 airframe and modified by L3Harris Technologies, the MC-55A is a long-range, persistent ISREW platform capable of delivering multi-intelligence effects across a wide operational spectrum.
