1. INS Sahyadri reaches Philippines

Indian Naval Ship (INS) Sahyadri, an indigenously designed and built stealth frigate of the Indian Navy, conducted an exercise with the Philippine Navy before making a port call at Manila for the harbour phase of its deployment.
The ship is currently on operational deployment in the Indo-Pacific, participating in various multilateral and bilateral naval exercises with friendly foreign countries, including MALABAR-2025, AUSINDEX-2025, JAIMEX-25, and a maiden bilateral exercise with the Republic of Korea Navy.

2. US orders more B-2 bombers: Trump

President Donald Trump told U.S. military personnel on Thursday that his administration had ordered “a lot more” B-2 Spirit stealth bombers from Northrop Grumman, following the aircraft’s use in U.S. strikes on Iran's nuclear sites earlier this year.
“Those beautiful B-2 bombers, they totally obliterated the nuclear.... potential nuclear.... supply of Iran,” Trump said. “We just ordered a lot more of them, and the reason we did is they were totally incredible, totally invisible.”

3. US Navy cancels Constellation-class frigate programme

The U.S. Navy is cancelling its Constellation-class frigate programme following months of cost overruns and delays but will retain the two vessels already under construction in Wisconsin. The cancellation was confirmed by U.S. Secretary of the Navy John C. Phelan in a post on X:
“From day one, I made it clear: I won’t spend a dollar if it doesn’t strengthen readiness or our ability to win. To keep that promise, we’re reshaping how we build and field the Fleet, working with industry to deliver warfighting advantage, beginning with a strategic shift away from the Constellation-class frigate programme.”

4. TKMS hands over second HDW Class submarine to Turkish Navy

TKMS has handed over the second of six contracted HDW Class NTSP submarines in a formal ceremony. The TCG Hızırreis was delivered by Gölcük Naval Shipyard (GNSY) to the procurement authority SSB (Savunma Sanayii Başkanlığı) and then transferred to the Turkish Navy. The first submarine was handed over in October 2024.
Production of the remaining four submarines is ongoing and at different stages of construction. According to GNSY’s schedule, delivery of the third boat is expected in approximately one year.

5. Saab’s A26 submarine selected by Poland

The Polish government has selected the Swedish government’s proposal for Saab’s A26 submarines to replace its ageing Kilo-class fleet. At this stage, Saab has not signed any contract nor received any formal order.
The Swedish offer includes advanced A26 submarines equipped with the latest technologies and innovations. The proposal also encompasses cooperation with the Polish defence industry and knowledge transfer, establishing a long-term strategic partnership between Poland and Sweden.
