1. India to supply two batteries of BrahMos cruise missiles to Indonesia

India will supply two batteries of BrahMos cruise missiles to Indonesia, according to a report by The Indian Express. The announcement was made on July 7, during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Indonesia. A BrahMos battery typically comprises four launchers and 12 ready-to-fire missiles, along with associated equipment and vehicles, although the composition may vary between land-based regiments and coastal-defence batteries.
After the Philippines, Indonesia will become the second export customer for the BrahMos missile. The missile has a range of 290 km and a speed of Mach 2.8. It can be launched from land, air, and sea. The missile was employed during Operation Sindoor, conducted by India in May 2025.
2. India and Indonesia sign MoU for Astra air-to-air missile

India and Indonesia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) concerning the Astra air-to-air missile. The development follows Indonesia’s agreement to acquire the BrahMos missile. The Astra is indigenously developed by DRDO and manufactured by Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL). The Mk-1 version has a range of 110 km, while the Mk-2 is undergoing final developmental trials. Indonesia operates Su-30MK2 and Su-27SKM fighters, while the Astra Mk-1 is integrated on the Indian Air Force’s Su-30MKI.
3. India and Rwanda co-chair 2nd JDCC meeting to enhance defence cooperation

The 2nd India–Rwanda Joint Defence Cooperation Committee (JDCC) meeting was held in New Delhi on July 6–7. The meeting was co-chaired by Joint Secretary (International Cooperation) Amitabh Prasad and Brig. Gen. Louis Kanobayire of Rwanda. Both sides agreed to deepen cooperation in military training, joint exercises, medical collaboration, and the defence industry, further strengthening bilateral defence ties.
4. US CENTCOM conducts retaliatory strikes

US Central Command (CENTCOM) carried out a new wave of strikes against Iran on July 7. In a post on X, CENTCOM stated that the strikes were in response to attacks on commercial shipping in international waters. The action comes after the United States and Iran signed an MoU on June 17.
5. NATO signs LoI for acquisition of MQ-4C Triton

NATO has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) for the acquisition of Northrop Grumman’s MQ-4C Triton aircraft. The LoI was signed on July 7 at the NATO Summit in Ankara. The Triton is an autonomous, high-altitude, long-endurance maritime aircraft capable of operating above 50,000 feet for more than 24 hours, with a range of 7,400 nautical miles.
6. Airbus awarded contract for 10 H125 helicopters

Airbus has been awarded a contract to supply 10 H125 helicopters to U.S. Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations (CBP AMO), announced on July 7. The aircraft will support law-enforcement, border-security, and public-safety missions across the United States. Notably, the H125 is also being offered for production in India in partnership with Tata Advanced Systems Limited.
