1. Skyroot Aerospace to launch Vikram-1 rocket under Mission Aagaman

Skyroot Aerospace is set to undertake the maiden orbital launch of Vikram-1, India’s first privately developed launch vehicle. The four-stage rocket is designed to provide rapid, on-demand launch services. Mission Aagaman marks Skyroot Aerospace’s first orbital test flight and the first attempt by an Indian private company to place its own rocket into orbit. The mission also carries a miniature gold rocket containing microsculptures of Dr Vikram Sarabhai, Sir C.V. Raman and Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, symbolising a unique fusion of art, science and India’s scientific heritage.
2. Indian Navy receives MH-60R Romeo helicopter

The Indian Navy received another MH-60R Romeo helicopter in Kochi on July 17, with two more helicopters expected to arrive this week. This is the 22nd MH-60R delivered to the Navy. India signed a $2.13 billion contract in February 2020 for 24 MH-60R multi-role helicopters, followed by a $946 million sustainment and support contract in December 2025.
3. Catalyx Space signs MoU with IN-SPACe for access to ISRO test facilities

Indian private space startup Catalyx Space has signed an MoU with IN-SPACe to access ISRO’s testing facilities and launch services. The agreement will support the development and testing of the company's systems, subsystems, satellites and payloads. To facilitate greater private sector participation, the government established the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) as a single-window, autonomous nodal agency under the Department of Space.
4. USAF orders more JSM missiles for its F-35 fighter jets

The US Air Force has signed a $100 million contract for the delivery of additional Joint Strike Missiles (JSM). The JSM is a fifth-generation stealth air-to-surface missile that can be carried internally by the F-35A, preserving the aircraft’s low-observable characteristics. The missile has a range of up to 350 km.
5. Embraer delivers first C-390 airlifter to Czech Air Force

Embraer delivered the first C-390 Millennium multi-mission transport aircraft to the Czech Air Force during an official ceremony at Prague Kbely Air Base on July 16. The delivery comes just 20 months after the acquisition agreement was signed, highlighting Embraer’s ability to meet customer timelines. The C-390 is also being offered by Embraer, in partnership with Mahindra, for the Indian Air Force’s Medium Transport Aircraft (MTA) programme.
