1. Indian Navy commissions shallow-water anti-submarine craft Mahe

The Indian Navy commissioned Mahe, the first of the Mahe-class Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW-SWC), at Naval Dockyard, Mumbai, on 24 November. The ceremony, hosted by Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command, was presided over by General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff.

The commissioning of Mahe marks the arrival of a new generation of indigenous shallow-water combatants – sleek, swift, and resolutely Indian. With over 80 per cent indigenous content, the Mahe class underscores India’s growing mastery in warship design, construction and integration.

2. SMPP–KNDS sign teaming agreement for KATANA artillery PGM

SMPP, one of India’s leading defence and aerospace companies, has entered into a teaming agreement through its subsidiary SMPP Ammunition with KNDS for the KATANA range of precision-guided artillery ammunition. KATANA is a 155 mm precision-guided munition offering high accuracy and extended range, aimed at addressing critical operational needs of modern artillery systems. The agreement was signed on 20 November 2025 at the Milipol Exhibition in Paris.

3. Indian–Australian Navies conduct Exercise AUSINDEX-2025

The Indian Navy’s indigenously built stealth warship INS Sahyadri, as part of its ongoing operational deployment, participated in bilateral Exercise AUSINDEX-2025 alongside HMAS Ballarat of the Royal Australian Navy, according to a post on X by the Indian Navy.

Warships and aircraft of both navies undertook intense joint drills and operations in the Northern Pacific. The exercise aims to boost interoperability and deepen the strategic maritime partnership between the two nations.

4. Airbus A330 MRTT Phenix refuels Su-30MKI at Exercise Garuda 2025

The Sukhoi Su-30MKI was refuelled in-flight by an Airbus A330 MRTT Phenix during Exercise Garuda-2025, being held at the Mont-de-Marsan Air Base in France. Rafale fighters of the French Air Force also trained alongside the Su-30MKIs. A single Airbus A330 MRTT Phenix will be leased by the IAF from the French Air Force.

5. India and Nepal to conduct Exercise SURYAKIRAN-2025

The 19th edition of the annual bilateral Exercise SURYAKIRAN between the Indian Army and the Nepali Army will be conducted from 25 November to 08 December at Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, according to the Indian Army on X. The exercise aims to enhance operational synergy in jungle warfare and counter-terrorism operations in mountainous terrain.

6. KNPA orders Airbus H-225M helicopter

The Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) has placed an order for one Airbus H225 helicopter, marking its entry as a new Airbus customer. The multi-role helicopter will serve across a range of public-service operations, reinforcing national security and emergency response capabilities.

The H225 will be deployed primarily for law enforcement and counter-terrorism duties, while also supporting search-and-rescue, humanitarian relief, and disaster response missions.
